The Strategic Partnership Gala · 2027
An evening for the people who build what lasts.
Each year HINA gathers its Strategic Partnership Council for one evening: the same format, a different featured humanitarian initiative, and the people who make it possible in one room.

The evening
- Welcome reception
An intimate reception where guests meet HINA’s leadership and fellow Council members.
- Strategic briefing
A short presentation on a real community challenge, its regional context, and HINA’s proposed approach.
- Project showcase
Guests see and handle the work: a working demonstration, a model of a community resource, or a project portfolio showing what support makes possible.
- Dinner and keynote conversation
A distinguished speaker or moderated discussion on humanitarian engagement, community resilience, and the link between human security and national security.
- Partnership recognition
Council members are recognized and the coming year’s priorities are shared, with an invitation to continued collaboration.
At the gala, guests experience the initiative four ways:
- Project portfolio
A printed portfolio introducing the community’s challenge, local perspectives, and the proposed activities.
- Working demonstration
A prototype or visual model tied to a specific project goal, developed with local input.
- Partnership impact map
How each level of support funds specific activities, with estimated costs and measurable objectives.
- Community voice
A short recorded message, shared with permission, centered on the people the project serves.
Presented as a proposal: what HINA plans to do, clearly separate from what it has already done.
Membership at any level includes an invitation to the annual gala.

Membership is based on an annual contribution at the selected level. Contributions support HINA’s charitable mission and may be directed to initiatives consistent with HINA’s priorities. Renewal, recognition, and any multi-year pledge are confirmed by HINA in writing. Privileges are invitations and opportunities, not guaranteed access to particular projects, individuals, or outcomes.
The Council offers perspective, expertise, and recommendations. It does not govern HINA, direct staff, control funds, or make decisions reserved to the Board of Directors, which keeps its legal, fiduciary, and organizational responsibilities. The communities HINA serves remain at the center of every decision.
“Understand before we assist. Empower before we exit.”
The Council’s guiding principle. Members support HINA’s community-led approach, respect confidentiality and cultural context, and engage consistently with HINA’s mission and policies.
Gifts by wire, donor-advised fund, or appreciated securities are arranged directly with Dr. Lansing. Gift instructions are provided during a partnership conversation.
The Strategic Partnership Council is a proposed framework pending approval by HINA’s Board of Directors; titles, levels, and privileges may be revised before launch.
